A Note from the Founder

Hospitality has shaped nearly every chapter of my career.

I have spent years creating and leading guest experiences across hotels, restaurants, private dining, and events. From the kitchen to event operations and hospitality management, each role taught me the same thing: exceptional hospitality is rarely about one grand gesture. It is built through intention, anticipation, and the details that make people feel considered.

My foundation began in the kitchen. I started cooking at thirteen in Haiti, and after moving to the United States, food became a language for me before I always had the words. I later trained at Le Cordon Bleu in Chicago and continued my career with Vail Resorts and Four Seasons properties in Chicago, Vail, and Denver. As my career evolved beyond the kitchen, so did my understanding of hospitality. I learned to see the entire experience: how a guest is welcomed, how service flows, how a space feels, how a team delivers, and what remains with someone after they leave. First Seating Collective was created from that perspective.

 

Today, First Seating Collective  is a hospitality studio bringing together hospitality consulting, thoughtfully produced events, and private dining. While each experience may look different, the philosophy remains the same: every detail should feel intentional, every interaction should have purpose, and every guest should feel considered. Because to me, hospitality isn’t simply service.

It is how you make people feel.
